BloodRayne 2 is probably one of the most well-known games of the last decade. The popularity of it was so big that they actually made a few movies but those weren’t that good as they failed to capture the true essence of the video-games. If you’re looking for a more graphic game with quite a few of gore elements in it, then this is the one for you. It contains lots of severed limbs and blood and quite a great soundtrack. There are some glitches in the game play, but nothing too major. Also, did I mention the sexy character you’ll be playing? BloodRayne 2 is just one of those games that you must play to truly appreciate so give it a try today and find out why so many other players have chosen this as one of the top games available on the market today.   Available for PlayStation 2, Xbox, PC Games

NecroVisioN is a different type of vampire game as its set against a historical setting, this time it’s WW1. You’re playing protagonist Simon Bukner who literally descends into hell throughout the game and actually meets Mefisto. One of the cool facts about the game is that it has alternative endings, all depending on the level of difficulty you chose at the beginning. The graphics are pretty good but the main point here is the storyline which I found very original and fresh.  Available for the PC

Dracula 3: The Path of the Dragon is based on the most well-known literary works ever written and of course, I’m referring to Bram Stoker’s Dracula. The game was very well received by critics for its story and addictiveness. It’s a first-person adventure game much like the new Walking Dead game that’s been getting rave reviews. The producers are already planning a sequel to it so that means that a lot of people liked the game. It’s definitely worth a try, especially if you are interested in a game that’s more story based.  Available Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X

Dracula: Origin is another point and click adventure game that’s based on Bram Stoker’s Dracula. You should know that you’re not exactly playing the famous vampire from Transylvania but his arch-nemesis, Professor Abraham Van Helsing. The game is very addictive due to its various puzzles and settings. It’s quite an original game and takes on Dracula. It’s always nice to have something fresh on a character that has been pretty much ubiquitous over the last century. There’s plenty of mystery here if that’s what you’re looking for.  Available for PC

The Sims 3: Supernatural is a rather weird choice but it deserves its place in this top vampire games ever released. Supernatural is the seventh expansion pack for the highly popular Sims 3 game. This is an obvious choice for anyone who likes The Sims and also has a love for vampires, werewolves and witches. The game play is very fun, especially at the beginning when you’re setting up all your characters but it can become boring in the long run as there’s no actual storytelling here since you’re in control of everything.  Available for PC

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 has not been released yet although the release date is fast approaching. So far the trailers and the images that were released by the producers are absolutely fantastic. The game will be out this winter but you can already pre-order it on Amazon. If you liked the previous titles in the series than you should definitely check out this one as a lot of time and effort went into it and the results seem to be very impressive in terms of graphics and game play. Hopefully it will also have a story that keeps you at the edge of your seat.   Available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC
